Audacity is looking to expand our Digital Strategy team in Boston with an entrepreneurial team member who loves SEO + solving technical problems. The Technical SEO Specialist must have a deep understanding of SEO standard methodologies, technical expertise, and effective communication skills so you can drive growth for Audacity’s clients. The successful candidate for this role will have experience developing and implementing technical SEO strategies across site structure, performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete research, audits, and analysis of site traffic, site architecture, site performance, and page content to provide recommendations for technical SEO enhancements such as fixing http errors/wrong codes, implementing new redirect rules, improve page template performance, content structure within pages, structured data usage, etc.
  • Document, prioritize and implement SEO techniques such as title and meta tag A/B testing, indexing improvement, linking opportunities, overall site architecture and content optimization
  • Develop and implement strategic analytics tracking that aligns with the customer journey via Google Tag Manager + Google Analytics
  • Direct search engine performance tracking and assess search outcomes related to advertising/marketing campaigns
  • Utilize Google Search Console (and other tools) to create alerts for detecting potential issues on time
  • Understand on-site user experience needs across the customer journey and the required technical integrations (e.g., digital media, marketing automation, CRM)
  • Collaborate with brand strategy, creative, and account teams by providing analysis and recommendations to support client success
  • Seamlessly work with Audacity partners to drive client success
  • Research and stay-up-to date on new developments, trends and technologies within the SEO space
  • Work on independent projects or projects/tasks assigned at the discretion of the management needs
  • Conducting large-scale keyword research to identify search market opportunity and content areas that drive value to our clients
  • Advise developers on proper pixel and analytic code placement
  • Assist when needed on uploading, editing, and managing content on our clients’ CMS platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business, or related field
  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on SEO experience across a variety of websites
  • o Global website experience a plus
  • o Managed the SEO side of a website platform redevelopment
  • High level expertise in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console implementation
  • Experience using keyword research tools (e.g. Keyword Planner, SEMrush, KeywordTool.IO, Moz, Keywords Everywhere)
  • In-depth industry knowledge of search engine criteria/algorithms, best practices, trends and industry developments
  • Coding experience and strong understanding of on-page ranking efforts
  • Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Understanding of how to diagnose traffic declines, reduce crawl budget, remedy site performance issues, and implement/troubleshoot structured data
  • Deep knowledge of technical SEO and website architecture
  • Experience working with large websites and data sets
  • Understanding of redirection setup, potential issues and testing
  • Ability to independently analyze data in Excel and similar tools
  • Excellent communication skills –verbal and written
  • Ability to communicate insights via PowerPoint
  • Proficient at using a variety of industry tools like Moz, SEMrush, hrefs, Screaming Frog
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of how the channels work together to create the cohesive, personalized marketing program for the customer
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and make progress on multiple concurrent projects as well as share progress with your team
  • A natural curiosity for how things work and the ability to adapt
  • Prior exposure to healthcare industry is a plus

This position will be located in Boston, MA. Some travel expected to support clients on East Coast and meet with core team in San Diego, CA.
