data analyst, digital marketing

Audacity is looking to expand our Digital Strategy team in Boston with an entrepreneurial team member who is analytical, inquisitive, driven, and resourceful. The Data Analyst, Digital Marketing is a hard-working, solution-minded person that enjoys working with data sets across multiple digital channels in order to deliver the best strategic insight to Audacity’s clients. The successful candidate has the rare skills required to understand the technical nature of data and systems as well as extract valuable insights. You know how to ask questions as well as answer them and you can help tell a compelling story starting with facts through to insights.

In this role, you will analyze large-scale digital marketing data, such as online market sizing, search behavior, online competitive environment, cross-channel digital campaign performance, website engagement, and customer conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Create repeatable data processes so you spend more time analyzing and less time collecting
  • Hypothesis generation
  • Execute statistical modeling packages via scripting languages (e.g., R, Python)
  • Create compelling dashboards that are both visual and contain context of the business situation
  • Provide subject matter expertise to other teams and clients
  • Create recommendation documentation to help clients implement your findings
  • Audit existing analytics implementations and writing measurement strategy documents
  • Build and customize Google Analytics and Tag Manager implementations
  • Collaborate with brand strategy, creative, and account teams by providing analysis and recommendations to support client success
  • Connecting the dots across channels through data (including display media, site, search, email, and social) to provide a holistic view of marketing efforts
  • Report on organization performance utilizing third-party reporting and visualization tools such as: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Hubspot, Salesforce CRM, Marketo, Tableau, and Google Data Studio
  • Seamlessly work with Audacity partners to drive client success
  • Stay current on industry best practices
  • Work on independent projects or projects/tasks assigned at the discretion of the management needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, analytics or other related analytical discipline
  • Masters’ Degree in Analytics or Data Science preferred
  • Certification in Google Analytics and/or Google Tag Manager preferred
  • Knowledge of tag management systems and the analytics implementation process
  • Advanced experience with R or Python
  • Excellent communication skills –verbal and written
  • Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics or an equivalent analytics or BI tool
  • Strong experience in Excel and intermediate experience in PowerPoint
  • Ability to have conversations about: API’s, SQL, Macros
  • A detail obsession; no “t” left uncrossed and no “i” left undotted
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of how the channels work together to create the cohesive, personalized marketing program for the customer
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and make progress on multiple concurrent projects as well as share progress with your team
  • A natural curiosity for how things work and the ability to adapt
  • Some prior exposure to digital marketing channels preferred
  • Prior exposure to healthcare industry is a plus

This position will be located in Boston, MA. Some travel expected to support clients on East Coast and meet with core team in San Diego, CA.
