Associate Creative Director, Art

The ACD is a role model within the department and sets the tone for their team in terms of how to interact with other departments and clients. Your goal is to establish a strong vision for each brand and make sure all work leaving the agency is up to Audacity standards.

This position will:

  • Lead a team of designers
  • Lead and/or oversee anything the design team produces, including advertisements, landing pages, digital banners, videos, collateral, social posts, trade-show booths, etc.
  • Collaborate with our strategists and scientists to translate complicated science into eye-catching, clever concepts
  • Manage the team’s PTO while making sure there is still appropriate coverage
  • Maintain an inquisitive outlook, with a track record of creativity
  • Have a working relationship with the client
  • Participate in pitches, brand training, timeline planning
  • Develop and oversee large brand projects for print, video and digital while applying strategic thinking to creative executions.
  • Lead concept presentations
  • Provide advanced training and mentoring to direct reports
  • Conduct performance reviews with direct reports
  • Balance between managing and producing creative projects
  • Inspire your team by sharing new ideas and leading by example
  • Work with current creative staff to help them achieve professional and personal goals.
  • Become a positive role model across all departments
  • Tactically help resolve creative and production challenges in order to meet deadlines.

In addition to a Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate studies in graphic design, multimedia design, or a related field, we’re looking for someone with:

  • 8-10+ years of big agency experience as an art director creating exceptional brand experiences in multiple mediums
  • At least 2 years as an ACD
  • Experience managing others
  • An understanding that complete “branding” encompasses so much more than just a great logo
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Advanced command of industry-standard layout and design applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, Figma; Adobe Premiere is a plus)
  • Advanced print and digital production skills
  • High awareness of digital trends as well as innovative traditional media
  • Experience working collaboratively with other creatives
  • Conceptual thinking skills in both visual and interaction design
  • Strong communication skills
